Assessment Round Closing for Schools Solar Program

If you have registered your school and received confirmation that you are one of the many eligble to apply for The National Schools Solar Program Grants but not submitted your proposal yet then you need to hurry!

The closing date for submissions for this assessment round is Aug 20th, and you need to have organised a clear outline of a well researched plan of how you wish to spend your allowed funds, meeting 3 criteria; value for money, & providing both environmental benefits and educational benefits to your students.

Competition is tight with more schools applying then will be accepted, so the quality of your submission is crucial. The guidelines state that  submissions will be strictly assessed and that the Government is looking for well researched options providing the best value for money, and this means supplying quotes from 3 suppliers of the major components you plan to use.

These suppliers must meet strict quality criteria as well and Solar Power Systems must be sourced from designers/installers who are accredited by the Clean energy Council.

The grant is a one off payment, so it is your best interest to do it very well and supply an application that makes use of your full entitlement. So if it’s already too late for you to have everything well prepared by Aug 20th you may be better waiting and putting in an excellent submission for next years assessment round.

At Sunshine Solarlife we are able to assist you to deliver a complete and high quality submission thanks to our qualified energy efficiency assessors and access to a complete package of solar and energy efficiency products including solar pv grid systems, solar hot water, solar lighting, and rain water tanks.
