Premier Solar Accepted for Membership by CEC

Sunshine Solarlife is an accepted network member to the Clean Energy Council

Premier Solar Qld (formerly Sunshine Solarlife) is delighted to have received confirmation on Sept 8th 2010 of our acceptance as a network member of the Clean Energy Council, which is the independent peak body representing Australia’s clean energy sector. It is an industry association made up of more than 350 member companies operating in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The Council maintains a high standard within the Solar industry regarding both the quality of components used and the expertise of installers, through their Solar PV accreditation scheme, which requires qualification that demonstrates competence in design and / or installation of stand-alone (SPS) and/or grid-connected (GC) solar photovoltaic power systems.

The aims of the Accreditation scheme are -

  1. to increase the uptake of solar photovoltaic power systems for the provision of energy services, by giving customers increased confidence in the design and installation work;
  2. to improve the safety, performance and reliability of solar photovoltaic power systems installed in the field;
  3. to encourage industry Best Practice for all design and installation work involving solar photovoltaic power systems
  4. to provide a network of competent solar photovoltaic power systems designers and installers.

The Clean Energy Council (CEC) takes advice from its Standards, Training and Accreditation (STA) committee. This committee is formed from industry members, across the nation, with wide experience with renewable energy, plus a representative from government and a Clean Energy Council Director.
