Solar Demand Causes Supply Delays
As you may be aware, there has been an ongoing situation in regard to severe world-wide shortages in the availability of essential Solar PV Grid semiconductors and electrical components that is unfortunately having a large follow on effect on the supply of these products to all Australian Solar Companies including ourselves.
This has come to a head now with our largest supplier of these, SMA, informing us this week that they will unfortunately be unable to supply their full deliveries of ordered product to us, as their European suppliers are not able to fulfill their own delivery promises in the short term.
Therefore we deeply regret to inform you of expected delays now beyond our control to the installation of already purchased or soon to be purcahsed Solar Systems. We are not able to give an exact timeframe for how long that this will continue to be the case, as they are currently unable to tell us how reduced our expected delivery will be, but certainly it will be much less than we expected and not enough to cover our current orders……which will of course roll on to new orders as well.
While the current supply situation is expected to gradually improve over the rest of this year, there is unfortunately quite a bottleneck of existing orders right through the world wide supply chain to be resolved, so realistically installation lead times are expected to remain at least 8-12 weeks for some time yet.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused by this delay, we are devoting a lot of time to find ways to overcome these issues and will continue to give you the latest information as it comes to hand to keep you up to date with the situation.
